From the moment Alex started playing golf at the age of 14, he knew it would be a lifelong passion. He competed extensively as a Junior across the Maritime provinces, winning numerous invitationals and qualifying for the Canadian Junior Golf Association National Championship. He went on to study Kinesiology at Dalhousie University, where he would form the foundation of knowledge needed to help golfers achieve success through fitness.
Since starting his Career in coaching more than 10 years ago, Alex has repeatedly ranked in the top 3% of personal trainers in Canada. His athletes have set records and medaled at national-level competitions, he has educated new fitness professionals during their accreditation process, and discovered his passion for golf fitness. Through this new venture, he has presented at the NCGOA Atlantic Canada Golf Expo on breaking down golfers’ physical limitations in the golf swing and maximizing off-season gains.
Now TPI Level 2 certified, Alex is well-equipped to coach golfers of all skill levels. Following a full TPI assessment, he will assess your baseline strength, power, and cardiovascular fitness to provide you with a clear snapshot of the physical limitations affecting your golf swing. Your tailored program will complement your individual lifestyle and allow you to build the requisite mobility, stability, strength, and power to meet your specific performance goals.
As a professional golfer with the PGA of Canada, and with over 20 years combined experience in golf and fitness, Alex has worked with golfers from all over the globe. His clients include a wide range of golfers, including winners of PGA of Canada Atlantic championships, players in PGA Tour Latinoamerica and Mackenzie Tour events, winning juniors on the MJT/CJGA/NSGA/PEIGA/NBGA circuits, competitive amateurs, the “weekend warrior”, and beginners. Alex understands exactly what golfers need to improve and push the limits of their physical capacity, and is committed to helping you take your game to the next level.
