Daylan was born and raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where followed his fathers footsteps in developing a love for sports and coaching. He went on to explore several different career options, leading him to a leadership career in the Canadian Armed Forces as an infantryman. In 2012, Daylan served in Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment where he became very ill and was later medically released for his mental health. His hard work ethic and determination to be successful didn't let him stop there. After being released from the military, he completed a 2 year Business Administration program concentrating in Financial Services which led to a short career in the banking industry. He was determined to find a career that he would not only be successful in, but one that he loves which led him to creating what is now Hole9Golf. Hole9Golf has since then grown to become a golf performance centre focused on turning the average golfer into athletes. In 2020, Daylan passed his PAT and became an official member of the PGA of Canada. Upon joining the PGA, he became certified TPI Golf level 3, Junior & Power level 2 Instructor which not only compliments his coaching, it puts a deeper dive into how golfers can make changes in their golf swing based on their physical abilities. It helps him Identify areas of weakness in mobility and stability for golfers so he can help them build a swing tailored to their body. As well as coaching, Daylan also works hard as an athlete to keep his competitive mindset to better understand his athletes struggles. In 2021, he had 3 top 10 finishes in local PGA events as well as played in PGA Tour Canada's PEI Open at Dundarave Golf Course in August.
